Finding your way to Stonyfield Cottage in Rochester
The village of Rochester is situated on the A68 within the Northumberland National Park. It is approximately 10 miles from Otterburn, 40 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne, 60 miles from Carlisle, 18 miles from Jedburgh and some 65 miles from Edinburgh.
Approaching Rochester on the A68 from the South, just after after passing the 30mph signs, is a lane on the right, adjacent to the Rochester War Memorial, marked as a No through Road with signs indicating no access for MOD vehicles or troops. This is Bremenium Way and Stonyfield Cottage is located a few hundred metres up this lane on the left.
Approaching from the North on the A68, Rochester is about ten miles South of the Scottish Border (Carter Bar). Travel through the village and just before leaving the 30 mph zone is a lane to your left just by the Rochester War Memorial. This is Bremenium Way, a No Through Road, where you will find Stonyfield Cottage, a few hundred metres on the left.
